RADARS Rally 16th November 2019 – update
This is an update to details about the RADARS Rally 16th November, the Rochdale And District Amateur Radio Society Winter Rally.
We are trying to maintain the interest of visitors throughout the rally from doors opening at 10:15am right through to at least 1:00pm. To achieve this, we have a guest speaker from Hack:Oldham who will speak at 11:00am and at 12:00 in the meeting room on the subject – “Make it, don’t buy it” – ‘An explanation of how you can use Computer Aided Design, 3D printing and laser cutting to create project enclosures and casings’. We have carefully chosen a talk that focusses on producing enclosures and casings, as many traders sell components such as plugs, sockets, circuit boards, and connectors that are mounted on or inside enclosures and casings. It is anticipated that by providing more to see, many visitors will stay for the full rally – good for traders and more opportunities for visitors.

Rochdale And District Amateur Radio Society Winter Rally
Venue: St Vincent de Paul’s, Caldershaw Road, off Edenfield Road (A680), Norden, Rochdale, OL12 7QR.
Time: Doors open to the public at 10:15am with disabled visitors gaining access 15 minutes earlier.
Guest speaker: Keiran Wilkinson – IT Director at Hack:Oldham – “Make it, don’t buy it” ‘An explanation of how you can use Computer Aided Design, 3D printing and laser cutting to create project enclosures and casings’. Due to limited seating, the talk will be given twice at 11:00 and 12:00.
Admission: £2.50 with those under 12 years free.
Refreshments available including bacon and sausage butties.
£5 per pitch (for traders with own tables) or £10 for a pitch with table provided.
